With over five hundred installations across Europe and the USA, the company supplies industrial flake and chip ice machines. Not only does it sell industrial ice machines, but it also offers rental units.
The headquarters and main manufacturing plant are based in the United Kingdom. The company has already successfully expanded into Spain and the United States. To support its long-term, ambitious growth plans our client is now moving to establish a direct presence in the German and Benelux markets and is now looking to appoint a successful, ambitious, and results-driven,
Sales Executive - Germany/Benelux
who will be based in Germany to set in motion the company’s direct sales strategy. The successful candidate will report into the Managing Director, based in the United Kingdom.
Scope of Role
The post holder will be required to identify new contacts and approach prospective companies, promote, and sell the complete company product portfolio, conduct customer visits, review, and offer project solutions. This business development role in the initial stages will be supported with full product training.
Person
- The candidate should have some experience in selling (or rental of) capital equipment.
- Some technical understanding possibly gained through servicing machinery.
- Contacts within the bakery, meat processing, poultry and seafood markets are desirable, but not essential.
- Able to generate sales and achieve sales growth.
- Self-starter, with the ability to work independently.
- A decision maker and independent thinker.
- Able to positively influence and build effective relationships.
- A personable and direct approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer focussed.
- Good English language skills.
- Fully versed in MS Office, Excel.
- Willing to travel and attend trade fairs.
Job Responsibilities
- Identification and prioritisation of new sales opportunities within the given markets.
- Handle sales enquiries. Lead follow-up.
- Make initial contact with prospect companies through mail, phone/video calls and customer visit presentations.
- Create application specifications and submit full sales proposals, with follow-up.
- Establish solid working relationships with new accounts.
- Provide effective customer care through prompt and professional handling of enquiries.
- Promote effective Forecasting, preparing, and working to budgets, meet/exceed financial targets.
- Actively contribute to and promote sales strategy.
- Work with colleagues to develop relevant support materials/information.
- Product alignment to satisfy customer enquiries/requirements.
- Would be required to travel. Should also be willing to travel to the UK for training and occasional meetings.
