Regional Sales Manager – DACH region - Packaging Materials

A major manufacturer of packaging materials with multiple European manufacturing and sales sites supplying food and dairy sectors.

The existing incumbent had resigned his role after five years to pursue a career outside of the industry. With a three month notice period to complete the aim was to have a new candidate in place within this time frame to allow a handover of knowledge.

It was agreed that we would identify a shortlist of potential candidates who would all have a proven track record of success in the sales of packaging materials and up to date knowledge of the DACH/European food and dairy sectors.

From the original shortlist of four candidates that were presented two were called back for final interview and an offer was made to the favoured candidate. After days of discussions the candidate declined the offer and decided to stay with his current employer.

This is where we are experienced and understanding of the challenges when recruiting. As we guarantee working with our client until a succesful conclusion has been found we then sat down with our client and discussed how best to work forward in their best interests.

The decision was made to start the process again and we committed to deliver a revised shortlist of candidates within three weeks.

This resulted in three excellent candidates, interviews were arranged, an offer was made and the chosen candidate quickly accepted, resigned his current post and completed his three month notice period.
